PLA (Polylactic Acid)

  • Most popularly used 3D Printing material
  • Biodegradable thermoplastic
  • PLA becomes soft around 50°C

ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene)

 

Colors Available:

Applications:

  • Functional Parts
  • Durable parts that need to withstand higher temperatures
  • Ideal for small parts

Other features:

  • Not considered food safe
  • Minor bending before snapping
  • Higher melting point than PLA

Flexible

Post Processing of 3D Printed models

Post processing techniques are usually used for end consumer products to enhance the surface finish.

1. BasicSupport Removal:

Support material from the 3D printed model is removed manually.

2. Smooth SurfaceSupport Removal + Surface Finishing:

Surface finishing of the 3D printed model is done by sanding.

 
3. PaintedSupport Removal + Surface Finishing + Spray Paint:

3D printed model is spray painted.
